How to deregister and turn off iMessage

Did you used to have an iPhone and now have a Android phone but now you're not receiving texts?

I'll show you how to unregister your phone # from iMessage .

Go to Apple's website here - https://selfsolve.apple.com/deregister-imessage
then go the section of the website titled

"No longer have your iPhone?
Follow the steps below to deregister your phone number."

1. Enter the phone number you want to deregister from iMessage and we'll send you a confirmation code.
Then press send code Send Code

2. Enter confirmation code
Enter the 6-digit code we sent to you to confirm deregistration on the website link stated above
